Addicted to CAS Challenge #148

Hi all ~ It’s time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS  Our Hostess is yours truly, and I've chosen the Code Word for this challenge :)

Recently, I bought my first set of stamps from Uniko, so that's what I used for my first card:

I started with a Grout Gray card base, and embossed the outline of the flowers and leaves with white EP, then stamped the details with different shades of pink and green. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment in cement gray, and that was it. I find one layer cards difficult because I love to add gems or enamel dots, but that would be cheating, right?

While shopping the Uniko store, I also picked up a stencil and created a 2nd card ~

This is a very large stencil, so I decided to create a 5 x 7 card. I used Distress Oxide inks (Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade) and spritzed it with a little bit of Sheer Shimmer Spray. The sentiment is from a really old Waltzingmouse set called 'Say It Loud'. And, that was it...of course, I'll have to create a custom envelope for it, but that's fine.

Hi all...it’s time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS. Our Hostess is Ellenor and she has chosen the Code Word 'Masculine'!

For my design, I CASE'd This Card (with consent) by my sweet blog friend, Karren ~

I loved Karren's CAS design with stenciling in the lower left corner. To make this a more masculine card, I used Tumbled Glass DI for the grid pattern and MFT Nightshift Blue cardstock for the die cut sentiment. Lastly, I stacked the copper foil leaves and popped them up with foam squares.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #117

Hi there blog friends,

It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS and this time I am playing Hostess! I thought long and hard about a code word and finally decided on 'One Layer Card' ~ challenging, right?

We also have an incredibly talented and super sweet Guest Designer ~ Pam Sparks!

And, don't forget that we always have a great prize for our winner and this time it's a $10.00 voucher from STAMPlorations ~ 

OK...on to my one layer card:

These blooms are called 'Fancy Flowers' and they're from MFT's December Card Kit. There are so many beautiful flowers in this set, and I think this one works well on a single layer and colored with Prismacolor Pencils. I didn't use Gamsol to blend the colors because I like the sketchy look with shades of gray. I also used Stone Gray cardstock for my card base, and this gorgeous Avery Elle Sentiment was a birthday gift from my dear friend, Loll! Thank you again, Loll...I love it!

This little MFT penguin just slays me, and I couldn't wait to ink him up and color him with my Copic markers. I created the background with DI's and a new-to-me Avery Elle set called Shine Bright!

I used a fun new to me Avery Elle stamp set for all the images on this card, and colored everything with Copic markers. I used JJ Bolton's Cloud Template to create the soft blue clouds, and a white gel pen to create waves in the ocean. Here is a close up:

SSS Flickr Challenge, Muse Card Club & Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge

This is my 2nd post today...if you're looking for the latest Addicted to CAS Challenge, please go HERE ~
I'm playing along in a few of my favorite challenges with two cards. My first card is for SSS Flickr Challenge #33 and Happy Little Stampers December Sketch Challenge:

Here is my card:

  

I die cut my brand new SSS Chisholm Wreath die in white, and I love that they include the berries and bow dies to match. I placed it on a panel of vellum die cut with Mama Elephant Femme Frames, added glossy accents to the berries and some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen to the bow. Lastly, I embossed the sentiment with Liquid Platinum embossing powder. Here is a close up:

This week, we got a fun surprise at Muse Card Club...Ardyth's daughter, Kate, created a really cute inspiration card for us:

I love how Kate was inspired by the gift card, and in turn created a birthday card to match! I'm sure her friend is going to love it, too!

Here is my card:

I started by stamping the sentiment in a similar font, then stamped the flowers and stems in green, yellow and peach inks. I added a few white pearl gems just to 'jazz it up' a little...and that was it!
