Addicted to CAS Challenge #112

 Hello there, blog friends!

It's time for another challenge at Addicted to CAS! Bobby is our Hostess, and she has chosen the Code Word 'Graduation'!

My step-granddaughter, Erica, graduated from college a few weeks ago, and I created this card for her ~

I started by inking a small background sky and stamping the sentiment with Versamark and Liquid Platinum EP. The silhouette of the graduate was cut with my Cameo and the silver stars are from Pretty Pink Posh. Erica loves all things 'sparkly', so I thought it would be fun to add the clear glitter c/s along the side. By the way, Erica graduated Summa cum laude, and we couldn't be prouder of her! She is also starting grad school in the fall ~ So exciting!

Addicted to CAS is such a fun challenge, and we would love to see you there! The winner of this challenge will receive a GC from Create a Smile Stamps! Also, Chrissie Stokes is our special Guest Designer and she has created a gorgeous card to inspire everyone!

CASology Challenge #250

I'm playing along with one of my favorite challenges again ~ CASology Challenge #250 and this week the cue card is ‘Loud’!

For me it was a no-brainer...my PTI electric guitar is the loudest stamp in my stash :)

I started by creating a mask and inking the circle with Shaded Lilac DI and die cut the panel with MFT's Wonky Rectangle die. I stamped all of the images with Versafine, then sprinkled clear EP on the musical notes and sentiment for shine.

*** Initially, I had a hard time getting a crisp image on the guitar...Here are a few tips:

I cleaned the stamp with Hero Arts Ultra Clean, dried it and rubbed it down with my white eraser. Then, I used a fine sanding block, brushed it off with a stamp scrubber and cleaned it with my Shammy...Voila! A clean, crisp image!

CASology Challenge #249; SSS Flickr Challenge #71

Hi there blog friends ~

I'm joining in a few challenges and I have two cards to share...First up is a card for this week's challenge at CASology.

And, my card...

I won this EKG die in a blog hop from Sugar Pea Designs and thought it would be fun to use it for this cue card. I embossed the white panel with the PTI Linen Impression Plate to add texture and the sentiment is from MFT.

My 2nd card is for the current challenge at SSS Flickr Group, and we were asked to create a card using our favorite technique ~

I love ink blending and die cutting, so I used my new Distress Oxide inks on Bristol cardstock and I love the smooth, creamy texture of this ink. I blended 3 colors from bottom left to top right, although it's hard to see the Worn Lipstick on screen. The die cut (Confetti) is SSS and the stamped sentiment is also from SSS.
