Noel

Hi there blog friends!
I have another Christmas card to share for the 2013 Caring Hearts Card Drive  and I am also entering this card into the following challenges:
Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge - 'Photo Inspiration’

Clearly Besotted Challenge - ‘Christmas'
CAS-ual Friday’s Challenge  - CFC 119 ‘Embossing’
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
- ‘Keep it Clean and Simple’

I wanted some sparkle on the poinsettia leaves, so I used my Spica glitter pen. I think it’s still hard to see, but it looks pretty IRL.  Here is a close up:
Well, that’s it for me. The 2013 Holiday Card Workshop starts tomorrow, so I'm off to finish one more card and clean up my craft room so I'll be ready. I hope to see you all there, it's always such a fun class! Have a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be Merry

Hi everyone,
This card is for this week’s challenge at Muse. I’ve taken a literal view on Laurie Willison’s beautiful inspiration card, which has lots of white space.

Here is the photo of Laurie’s card:

Here is my card:

I used my Simon Says Stamp 'Be’ die, then, I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the tree from my Hero Arts ‘Get Merry’ stamp set and created a stencil with clear acetate and a small snowflake die to create texture with embossing paste.

Here is a close-up of the snowflakes:

*** Heads up for anyone looking to buy a new PC/Laptop:
I really ‘Love’ the ampersand that Laurie used on her card, and set out to buy it in the Silhouette store. Unfortunately, my old Silhouette is not compatible with Windows 8 which is the operating system on my new computer :-(
I also wanted to mention that I can’t use my old scanner with Windows 8 as well, even though everything was manufactured by HP...Let the buyer beware!

I am also submitting this card for the 2013 Caring Hearts Card Drive  ~ It's a really wonderful cause, and I hope you'll consider joining us!

Well, that’s it for me. I hope everyone is having a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

You Tickle My Fancy

Hi everyone,
I created this card for 2 challenges. The first one is Less is More, and our assignment is to create a card with a dark background and a splash of color. The 2nd challenge is the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge , where we are asked to create a Clean and Simple card...my fave!

I swiped my Hero Arts Pale Tomato ink onto white cardstock, and die cut the feather, then stamped it in Versamark ink and used Holographic embossing powder to give it lots of sparkle. This is the first time I’m using my new Clearly Besotted stamps and dies, and I’m very happy with the quality and beautiful, intricate designs!

I wasn’t sure if it would be hard to see the shimmer from the embossing powder above, so I took a close up:

Well, that’s it for me. I hope everyone is having a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Birthday, Tracey!

Hi everyone,
Joyce is having a LINKY PARTY to celebrate Tracey McNeely’s Birthday and since I am a huge fan of Tracey’s, I wanted to create a card.

I have been an avid follower of Tracey’s blog for the past few months, and I am constantly inspired by her sweet personality and amazing talent! Happy Birthday, Tracey!

Joyce has a few inspirational photos on her blog, so I decided to use the color combo on this one for my card. Such a gorgeous cake, huh?

Also, she is leaving the link open for the week, so you’re welcome to hop on over to her blog to see everyone's beautiful cards, and if you would like to join in and create a card, that would be great, too! Thank you, Joyce for organizing this party!

Well, that's it for me...I hope you all have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by!

A Holiday Treat

Hi there,
Complete with hot cocoa and chocolate chip cookies, Santa and Mrs. Claus are ready to hand out some holiday treats! I just love the adorable elements and sentiments in my new Mama Elephant stamp set called Cozy Christmas! So, I grabbed my Copic markers and created this card for this week’s challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch.

Here is the inspiration for my layout:

I hope everyone had a fun and crafty weekend! We’re having the most beautiful autumn weather here in the northeast of the U.S. I’m really enjoying the crisp, cool air and how gorgeous the trees look as they’re changing color!

Have a great day, and thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there ~
I have 2 cards to share today...the first card is based on a sketch by Laurie Willison’s for the DeNami Sketch Challenge back in  January 2011, and I am entering it into this week’s Wedenesday challenge at Simon Says Stamp ~ Anything Goes

I received this stamp set directly from the Lawn Fawn store, and one of the things that I love about ordering from them is the cute stamps they send as a ‘Thank You’. So, just for fun, that’s what I used for my sentiment on this card! It’s sometimes difficult to see the detail from the Impression Plate, so I’ve also taken a close-up:

My 2nd card is for this week’s challenge at Casology, and our Cue Card for this week is ‘Black’.
I used the inlaid technique for the poppy die cut, and embossed the sentiment with a glitter embossing powder to give it some sparkle.

Here is a close up of all the glittery goodness on this sentiment:

Well, that’s it for me today ~ Until next time...take care, and thanks so much for stopping by!
