Happy Little Stampers - January CAS Challenge; Muse Challenge #147

Hello again, blog friends ~
I'm back with 2 cards I created for a few challenges. The first is for Happy Little Stampers January CAS Challenge:

For this challenge, we are being asked to use the 'Smooshing' technique. I just got a few jars of Inka Gold, and I have to say...I'm in heaven! The shimmer on these inks is amazing! I blended Aquamarine and Champagne with distress inks and water, and smooshed water color cardstock onto it for my background. It was pure luck that it looked like an ocean and sky, so that is what dictated my design. I die cut the mat and sailboat, and stamped the sentiment and seagull...and that was it!

My next card is for the Muse Card Challenge. Here is Michele Ferguson's fabulous card ~

And this is my take on her card:

  

 I love how Michele placed the oval mat, and her repeat heart pattern really pops on her card. I don't have papers or stamps to create the heart pattern, so I chose MFT Dots & Stripes papers, and the PTI stamp and die set 'Uncorked'. I just added a few sequins, and that was it. For the die cut sentiment I used Silver Luxe cardstock, just to add a little shimmer to the card.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #79

Hi there ~

It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS, and our Code Word is 'Cake'!

If you visit my blog often, you know how much I 'Love' Mama Elephant, so I chose a cupcake from their Carnival Cupcakes set (colored with Copic markers), and a sentiment from Carnival Toppers (embossed in gold). I also used a few things from their All Prettied Up die set to create this card, and a few distress inks to create the background.

CASEplorations with "The" Laura Bassen & SSS Flickr Challenge #35

There is no way I could resist CASEing Laura Bassen for the CASEplorations Challenge...No way! Luckily, I happen to own a few Stamplorations stencils, so I was all in...well, I thought so, anyway! This is my 3rd card, and half of a jar of embossing paste later, I had to let go of the lumps and bumps on some of the circles. I still don't know what I did wrong, so here is my final card ~

I used the Stamplorations Bubbles Stencil, and mixed embossing paste with several distress ink re-inkers. I just added the die cut and stamped sentiment, some silver thread and a few Rainstones...And that was it!

I would also like to share a card I created for SSS Flickr Challenge #35 - Wonderful Watercolors: 

I used Zig Clean Color markers to color the flowers, and added a touch of soft blue ink behind them to make them pop. I also watercolored the die cut sentiment with the same colors, and added a few tiny gold sequins.
