Addicted to CAS Card Challenge - Fishy

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Jaydee is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Fishy’. Our Guest Designer is the amazing Jen .

I recently bought this free form watercolor stencil and couldn't wait to use it on a card...I used three distress inks to create the water, colored the whale with Copic markers and die cut the net with a new die from a Swedish company called 'Gummiapan'. A puny sentiment and a few clear droplets and this card was complete!

We would love to see how the code word ‘Fishy’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop

Hi there blog friends! Several weeks ago, Kylie (Owner/Manager of Addicted to CAS) asked me to represent our team for the Altenew Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop! Altenew sent each rep 2 stamp sets of our choice, so I have created 2 cards for the hop :)

My first card is ultra-modern and features the Amazing You stamp set, Versatile Vases dies, and Deco Lines Washi Tape. I used linen cardstock for texture and gold foil cardstock for the border.

Give me a nautical theme anytime, so I grabbed this new set called Seas the Day and got going...I used Versamark and clear embossing powder for the water and blended distress inks to add color. I stenciled the clouds and used a Copic Multiliner to draw the seagull. The ship and little girl were colored with Copic markers and once I added the sentiment, this card was complete!

There are several challenge blogs on the hop and a generous prize being offered at each one :) There are $250. in prizes and winners will be announced on the Altenew blog on September 5th, 2021.

So...hop on over to the Addicted to CAS challenge blog...Kylie will give you the details and links to the participating challenges ~ Good luck, everyone!

CAS Christmas: August Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the August challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Cathy and she has chosen ‘Decorations’ for our prompt. Our Guest Designer is Lucie from Lucie G Cards.

I thought it would be fun to color my trio of candles with Copic markers and add a layer of red cardstock behind the Nordic Frame. A red sentiment and a touch of Glossy Accents on the candle flames, and this card was done and dusted ~

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us...It’s a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Showers of Love

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Raga is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Rain’. Our Guest Designer is the Arlene.

When I saw the prompt for this challenge, I didn't have to go far to find a cute stamp set in my stash...I started by die-cutting the clouds, then I stenciled the raindrops and puddle. I used Copic markers for the images and added a little sparkle to the puddle.

We would love to see how the code word ‘Rain’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Wishing You Happiness

Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Vicki D. is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Geometric’.

For my geometric shape, I chose my octagon dies and instead of creating a scenic sky for the background, I decided to use a tiny dots stencil with glimmer paste. The butterfly and sentiment are from the same MFT set.

We would love to see how the code word ‘Geometric’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~ Hope to see you there!

CAS Christmas Card Challenge - Reminder

Hello friends ~ Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the July CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Linda is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘Poinsettia’ for our prompt.

Recently, I went on a shopping spree at The Greetery and I used a few of my new goodies for this card. I used traditional colors for the poinsettias, a gold gel pen for the centers, and just for fun, light gray for the berries :) I stamped the sentiment then topped it with clear EP for a lovely shine (too bad it doesn't show on screen).

My teamies have created some beautiful cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us, if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card and it's a great way to add to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~
