Stamplorations Inspiration Project

Hi everyone,
Another quick post to share a card I created for the current Inspiration Project at Stamplorations. It should be no surprise that I chose to CASE my sweet and talented friend, Deepti who created this card to inspire us:

Deepti used one of her new stamp sets 'Blooming Buds', and since I love this set so much, I decided to use it on my card, too:

A very literal take on her card, but I used a few different colors and dies on my card. I embossed the Lawn Fawn stitched clouds on Icy Mint cardstock, colored the flowers with Copic markers, stamped and embossed the sentiment in gold EP, and added my new Gold Luxe Foil patterned paper from PTI.

I am also entering this card in the Stamplorations 'Anything Goes' Challenge.

So, that's it for me...As always, thanks so much for stopping by ~ Your comments make my day!

CASology Challenge #150

Hi everyone,
A really quick post to share a card I created for this week's challenge at CASology for the theme 'Graduation'.

The file for the graduates was cut with my Silhouette, then I inked the background with SSS Sea Glass ink, and stamped the sentiment with Versamark and Gold embossing powder. I added some small stars from Mama Elephant's Confetti die and the stitched border is from MFT's Blueprints 13.

That's it for me today...I hope you are all having a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Addicted to Stamps Challenge #148

Hi everyone ~
It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to Stamps, and our theme is 'Holiday'. Our sponsor for this challenge is Sticky Bear's Digi Outlet, and the winner will receive three images up to $10.00 in value.

A few weeks ago, I won a few Purple Onion Designs stamps from Kay Miller's blog, (Thanks again, Kay!) and of course I couldn't wait to play with these adorable Halloween themed stamps ~

So, I stamped this little cutie-pie onto a stitched circle and colored him with Copic markers. I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the front panel, and placed that on top of a purple card base. I created the clouds with JJ Bolton's Cut File on my Silhouette with Tumbled Glass distress ink; I added the sentiment and a few mini pearls, and that was it!

I hope you'll take the time to stop by the Addicted to Stamps Blog and play along with us in this week's challenge :)

Since I used Copic Markers for this card, I would also like to add it to Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by ~

Time Out Challenge; Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge

Hello there blog friends,
I have a card that I will be entering into two (ahem...3) challenges:
- Time Out Challenge - CASE With Your Own Twist
- Kathy's 30 Day Coloring Challenge
And, I just realized I have a few minutes to get my card in for:
- Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

I’m sure you’re familiar with my sweet friend and Super Talented Card Artist, Deepti ...Well, Deepti is being featured at this week's Time Out Challenge, we are being asked to CASE her card:

I was excited to learn that Deepti recently started designing her own line of stamps with Stamplorations, so I purchased her first set titled Blooming Buds - ‘Dee’s Artsy Impressions’and used this set to create my card:

Congrats again, Deepti! Your stamps are beautiful, and they are a joy to 'play with'!

I started by embossing the Lawn Fawn jar with Liquid Platinum EP on vellum, then colored it from the back with a Copic  Marker (BG10). I also embossed the flowers and leaves on to water color cardstock and colored them with Inktense Pencils. The curve was created using PTI Sentiment Splits: Curve Vertical Die, and the flowers and leaves were fussy cut. Lastly, I added the sentiment, patterned paper and sequins.

That's it for me today...I hope you are all having a great day ~ Thanks so much for stopping by ~
