Sending Love and Hugs

Hi everyone ~
I've had a wildly busy week so far with very little time to create, and I'm finally able to post my first card for Online Card Class Stretch Your Stamps 2. As always, this class has been really fabulous! I'm inspired by all of the designers, and fell in love with an ombre card created by Laura Sterckx.

If you're not familiar with Laura, she is a 16 year old paper crafter, who is incredibly talented! She likes to create with whimsical images (like Mama Elephant and Lawn Fawn), and her cards usually have feminine colors and delicate details. Aside from her responsibilities with school, Laura maintains Her Blog, is a Design Team Member for at least 2 Design Teams, and has a You Tube Channel! I guess it's obvious, I'm a HUGE FAN, and I'm super excited to CASE one of her cards!
Here is my card:

I used the Highline Ironwork stamp that was recommended for the class for my background, embossed it with clear EP, and inked it with distress inks. The sentiment and banner are from Mama Elephant, and I added silver thread, and a few pale pink sequins. I also channeled my inner Laura Bassen with a few dots of Glossy Accents ~ I have to say, I really love how the clear dot picks up the colors underneath...very pretty IRL!

So, that's it for me today...I hope everyone is having a great week, and enjoying class as much as I am! Thanks so much for stopping by ~

Hi Barb - wow and wow, not only to this gorgeous and stunning card you've made, but to the AWESOME, sweet, encouraging and all around bundle of comments you left on my blog yesterday! My husband and I returned late from a hike, exhausted (me than him!), but seeing your mini messages jazzed up my spirits immensely. Had my legs not been in such pain (descending steep trails = ouch!), I'd have happy danced up a storm! I meant to thank you earlier, but it's back-to-work day for me (after the summer off, this is rather cruel punishment *grin*), so allll day, I've been antsy in wanting to head to your blog. And I'm here! Saying THANK YOU! You've made me feel like a kazillion bucks! And I'm adding you to my Feedly - your awesome cards are not to be missed!
Hugs~c
