CASology - Week 124 - Old

Hi there crafty friends,
The Cue Card this week at CASology is "Old", and I have to say, I was really stumped on this one! So, I went shopping in the Silhouette store and found an image of a woman for my card. I researched fashion in a few decades from the early 20th century, and it looks as though she is from the late 1920's, as she is wearing a Cloche (hat) and showing off her pearls, which are indicative of that time in history. Here is my card:

I die cut the image in black (looks dark gray on my screen...grrr) and found a nice quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson from the SSS Floral Bookmark stamp set for my sentiment. I placed it on a dove gray card base with a very fine border, added a soft pink pearl gem on her Cloche and a gray shadow from Paper Smooches.

So, that's it for me...I hope everyone had a great weekend ~ Thanks for stopping by,

very cool card, Barb - reminds me of the 20's ladies in cloche hats that HA had on a set of stamps ages ago (i think i still have them!)

Such a classy card, Barb - and clever you for your interpretation! Absolutely charming; a perfect image to pair with that piece of wisdom from Emerson.
