Hello again, blog friends! Today is my turn to post on the a2z Scrapbooking Blog, and once again, I've channeled my 'Inner Laura Bassen' on my card:
A few weeks ago, Laura shared a card using a technique called Camouflaging Die Cuts, and later posted a video on You Tube demonstrating this technique, so I thought I would try it myself. I used my Hero Arts Shadow Inks and Uppercase Alphabets for the
technique and did selective inking for the embossed sentiment from
'Written in the Stars' stamp set. The alphas were die cut once out of
the panel and 4 times out of white card stock and adhered together for
one thick piece that was fitted back into the negative space. I love how
it adds so much dimension to the card, even with all that white space.

LOVE your take on Laura's technique, Barb! Gorgeous card! ♥
This is a stunning card, Barb. I have seen a number of Laura inspired versions of this technique around blogland and you have absolutely nailed it! Clever use of the partial sentiment too. Happy weekend x
Your card is every bit as beautiful as Laura's, Barb! You are so good at trying new things and actually being successful with them, too. I'm always afraid to try, but maybe I will attempt more things this year.
Wow, Barb, the inking here is stunning ... such a fantastic take on Laura's technique! Anita :)
Absolutely stunning. Your inking and blending is fantastic. You should be the teacher. What a lovely card.
Echoing the others, Barb: you've worked magic with this technique, creating a stunning card that has me smiling. Your inking is amazing. In awe....
