Muse Card Challenge

Hi everyone,
Just a quick post to share a card I created for this week's Muse Challenge. Joan Bardee shared this beautiful card and envie for our inspiration:

I  love the shiny cherries and how the red pops against the pretty B&W pattern...I also love her envelope :) Here is my take on her card:

I recently bought the new MFT stamps 'Penguins in Paradise', so I stamped and die cut one these adorable penguins and reshaped the sentiment to form a curve to match the banner. I used the Hero Arts Waves background stamp, colored the images with Copics and die cut the panel with Mama Elephant index card die...a touch of WOS on the glass and Glossy Accents on his sunglasses, and that was it for the card :) I stamped the envelope liner with PTI Ahoy stamp set in sea glass ink.

And, just for fun, a few days ago, I created another card with this stamp set (didn't realize I used the same sentiment).

On this card, I saturated a piece of washcloth with Copic marker E55 and dabbed it on the sand to create some texture, then used my white Pitt artist pen to create waves in the ocean...I think it worked out well :)

Well, that's it for me today ~ Thanks so much for stopping by ~ Have a great weekend!

Love everything about your cherry card, Barb! Maybe because this is the only time of year I get to devour these sweet treats, this really appeals to me! And the envelope adds such a nice extra touch, too!
