Hello there ~ It's time for another challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More, and this time our theme is 'Holiday'! DRS Designs is sponsoring our challenge, and they are offering a $10.00 gift certificate in their store to the winner!
I chose Valentine's Day, since it's just around the corner ~
I thought it would be fun to use a few non-traditional colors for my card...I started by channeling my 'Inner Kay Miller', and created a color wash with Peerless watercolors. If you're not familiar with Kay, just click on her name, and grab a cuppa your favorite drink...you are in for a real treat! I die cut the heart with PTI Silver Luxe cardstock, and the sentiment with DCWV teal foil cardstock. Both are SSS dies, and I think they look so pretty together. For the inside of the heart, which is off-set, I used patterned vellum (white polka dot), but it's hard to see in the photo. Lastly, I added a stamped sentiment and a few sparkly sequins, and that was it!
I hope you'll find the time to stop over at the Addicted to Stamps & More blog and check out the lovely cards created by my teamies! We would love it if you would join in the fun, too!
It just so happens that this week's theme at the SSS Flickr Challenge is 'Anything Goes', so I am entering my card there, as well.

Absolutely love this Barb!! I've always been a bit partial to blue and white and these turquoise colours totally grab me (in the right way!!). The watery background is divine and love the silver heart die. Brilliant!
Gorgeous, love your w/c washes and the shiny die cuts. It's good to get away from traditional red and pink. :)
Stunning, Barb! The turquoise/silver is such a striking combination, and I'm truly crushing over your splendid water-coloured background (I'm so done with water-colour...can't get it right, so no point in stressing over it any more!). Love this immensely! Apologies for being behind in commenting; life's happening!
Hugs~c
