There is no way I could resist CASEing Laura Bassen for the CASEplorations Challenge...No way! Luckily, I happen to own a few Stamplorations stencils, so I was all in...well, I thought so, anyway! This is my 3rd card, and half of a jar of embossing paste later, I had to let go of the lumps and bumps on some of the circles. I still don't know what I did wrong, so here is my final card ~
I used the Stamplorations Bubbles Stencil, and mixed embossing paste with several distress ink re-inkers. I just added the die cut and stamped sentiment, some silver thread and a few Rainstones...And that was it!
*****
I would also like to share a card I created for SSS Flickr Challenge #35 - Wonderful Watercolors:
I used Zig Clean Color markers to color the flowers, and added a touch of soft blue ink behind them to make them pop. I also watercolored the die cut sentiment with the same colors, and added a few tiny gold sequins.
Before I go, I just want to share some new info with you ~

Your first card is gorgeous, and so totall in the mode of the famous LB. And, your second card is beautiful as well. Love thee color variations you made for those pretty flowers.
I think your first card is cool. Love the colors. The second card is a knockout. your coloring and design are great.

These are both wonderful creations, Barb! You totally nailed Laura's style & your card was worth all the effort! Love the watercolored flowers. Did you use wc paper & did you add water after using the markers? I'm still trying to figure out how to use Zigs.
both cards are brilliant, Barb - especially love the first one.
Lovely designs for both cards Barb, I really love how the orange shades stand out. Such a refreshing change now that Christmas has passed and Valentine's is not yet upon us.
Two beautiful cards Barb. LOVE the rainbow of colours on your stenciled and embossing paste card. I would find that so difficult to add the different colours of paste --- you did GOOD! Great little finishing touches too. :)
And your watercolour card is gorgeous and elegant. xx
Thank goodness I had these two Fabulous cards to buoy me, Barb ... I just cannot handle change of any kind lately! I already have you in my bloglovin' feed, email, and sometimes I just head over all on my own when I need inspiration of the very best kind! xx

Both fabulous designs Barb! Lovely and colourful! I'm a Google follower, so I'm OK! Have a lovely evening! Hazel xx
Oh both of your cards are gorgeous Barb! I think the one you did with the embossing paste is stunning and you are way ahead of me there. I've never even owned a jar of embossing paste! it scares me! haha! Your watercoloring on your second card is so lovely! (Hugs)
What a gorgeous CASE of Laura's card, Barb ... you've captured her style so perfectly with those rainbow colors and the 'loosey goosey' thread nest ... it's brilliant! Beautiful blooms ... your watercolouring is awesome ... love how the sentiment matches them! I'm a happy Feedly follower ... so I'm not going anywhere ... what, and miss all this stunning inspiration ... no way, my friend! Hugs, Anita :)
Oh my goodness ! These are so beautiful, love ur case of Laura's card and those flowers on the second card are gorgeous :)
Oh Barb! Half a jar of "frosting"... not good. Way too many calories ;) As for bumps, hey, they prove it's handmade. Actually, Laura's card with "Bubbles" (in Saturday's reminder post) has a few too! I love your colors, they just jump out of the gallery. Thanks so much for joining us this month at CASEplorations!
Gorgeous Barb-esque-styled case of Laura's card, that has me smiling with the pretty colours and bubbly stencil! The thread nest and raindrops are lovely touches! Your watercolour blooms: stunning! Love the matching 'today'! I follow you via Feedly, so I'm planning on sticking around! Your blog is a wonderful place to visit when I need a boost of creativity or a lift in my spirits!
Hugs~c
