Hello again ~
I've been busy playing in my craft room, and being the challenge junkie that I am, I have a few cards to share ~
My first card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge for the theme "What's New" (Mosaic Heart), and this week's challenge at Muse.
My first card is for the current SSS Flickr Challenge for the theme "What's New" (Mosaic Heart), and this week's challenge at Muse.
Anita Bowdin is our Muse this week, and I love how she added texture to her design with a background stamp. I used a PTI Impression Plate after I inked the panel behind the mosaic in the same colors that she chose. I also followed her CAS design. Here is Anita's fabulous card:

My next card is for this week's challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch. My dear friend Michele Ferguson created this beautiful sketch to inspire us:
And, here is my take on her sketch ~
I've been trying to learn how to create 'fluffy clouds', and was directed by Francine Vuilleme to her You Tube Channel for her Video Tutorial. By the way, check out HER BLOG if you haven't already...Swoon!!!
I used MFT's Cooler With You Card Kit and Copic Markers to color the bear and sled. The clouds were created with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. To show off the interactive component of this card, I played with the sled and took 2 more photos:

My last card is for this week's Challenge at Merry Monday. They would like us to use the word 'Noel' or to include a Scandinavian feel to our card.
Here is my card:
I used the Tim Holtz Festive Layering Stencil, and before it dried, I added gold EP, which I also used for the sentiment.
Thanks to Sarah, I would like to add this card to the Happy Little Stampers January CAS Challenge ~
That's it for me today...I hope everyone is having a great week ~
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Barb, definitely time well spent in your craft room. The slider card is such a fantastic and brilliant take on the sketch! YOur Noel card is so pretty in white and gold. I love that look...I might just have to case it. Your mosaic heart is another fabulous challenge take. Amazing stuff here my friend. Love them all.

Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
All your cards are great, but I was drawn by the mosaic heart... just beautiful!
I'm rather late to the party so I'll probably just say what everyone one else did, Barb, but I did want to comment on your wonderful cards. Your interactive bear card is so cute and something I have yet to tackle. You learn well because those clouds are perfect. I did that same stencil with embossing paste and gold powder and it really makes an elegant card doesn't it.
What a trio, Barb ... love those soft colours on the mosaic heart ... your cute sledding bear set amidst those fabulous soft clouds is brilliant (and such fun!) ... and what elegance on your final card, the rich stencilling with the noel sentiment is just gorgeous! Francine's blog ... yep, it's just delicious! Hugs, Anita :)
A trio of beauties, Barb! Your heart is so pretty and full of movement and texture. That bear is adorable with his sparkly scarf and shiny glasses! That cloud background is pretty brilliant too... Finally I love the simple elegance of your Noel card. :)
I just all all of these cards, Barb! The first two are such clever and unique interpretations of the challenge and the Noel card is so beautiful and elegant! What a feast for the eyes!
Wonderful set of cards. Love that fabulous embossing for your HLS card and great angled design. Thanks for joining HLS
