Hi everyone! It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~
As you can see, our Code Word is 'Wood'
Our Sponsor is STAMPlorations
Our Hostess is Ceal
And, our Guest Designer for this challenge is super sweet and incredibly talented Magic Flying Boots (Jen)!
I thought this would be a great card to add to a book for my granddaughter, Desi...although, I think she does more reading on her iPad these days..what can I say ~
I used a new MFT set called 'Our Story'. I colored the elements with Copic markers, sponged the rays of light from the lamp, and added the woodgrain cardstock to depict a hardwood floor. Fun, sweet and CAS, just the way I like it :)
So that's it for me today...if you would like to check out the cards that my amazing teamies created and join us in this challenge, come on over to the Addicted to CAS Blog ~ We would love to see you there!
I hope you all have a great weekend...Thanks so much for stopping by,

Barb, your lil gal looks cozy hanging out with a book and her pup! Your wood floor adds some texture and warmth to your scene. So darling.
This is just adorable.
Love the little pup on that wood flooring.

great idea to use the wood floor - my first thought - paper is made from wood hence a book - anyway darling card and love that sentiment!
Barb, this is the most adorable scene ever! Made me think of my bookworm daughter, an avid reader. LOVE the wood floor and the cozy, warm light! Fabulous, fabulous!!!!
Totally adorable Barb. Your granddaughter is going to love this. It is very sweet! xx
Oh I LOVE this!! The way you used the wood and the little pup on the floor beside the chair-reminds me of home!! Amazing design!!
This is so cute, Barb! I love this stamp set and you've used it to create a warm and inviting card that your grand-daughter is sure to love - iPad reader or not ☺
Your light ray was the perfect touch to your darling little scene, Barb. You do such a good job with Copic coloring.
This is a very sweet card. Your granddaughter will love it.
Desi is going to love this one, Barb ... I do too ... and don't I WISH hardwood floors could be had without the gazillions of cracks for bits to get stuck in!!
Darling ... xx

I'm still a 'paper' style book girl myself... music and movies etc are all digital, just haven't gone down the book path as yet. ps love how you created the 'wood' floor, it's a fabulous design Barb!
Oh, I love my books, Barb!!! - stories and non-fiction, but soooo little time to read these days!!!! (mostly only a mag now and then, at this stage)- I'm with you on kids and their iPads - such a pity they're not as keen on books as we have been, hey!!!! So you can imagine just how much I love your cute card!!!! - so cleverly done with the wooden floor for the cue word and the light shining down!!!! I'm sure your granddaugter is going to love it - hope it inspires her to pick up a book!!!!
Have a great day!!!!

What a sweet and cozy scene you have created. I think I have some of that wood paper and have never used it. It is perfect for your floor.
