Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Addicted to CAS and just in time to create a few St. Patrick's Day cards, our code word is Luck/Lucky!
I started by creating a stencil with a SSS heart die and used distress ink to create the shamrock. I used the same color to create an ombre effect for the die cut alphas, and to keep it monochromatic, I used sour apple cardstock for the stamped sentiment...a few silver stars and a stitched border, and that was it!
Happy Little Stampers is our Sponsor and Kylie is offering a $15.00 gift card for the winner! We hope you'll stop by and play along with us!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Supplies:
Dies: SSS - Heart; MFT - Stitched Alphabet, Blueprints 15
Stamps: SSS - All My Love (sentiment); PTI - Birthday Balloons (stem)
Misc: Pretty Pink Posh - Silver Stars; Twisted Citron distress ink; Versafine - Onyx Black Ink

Fabulous transformation of the heart to a clover Barb. Very festive.
Sweet card, Barb! The ombre coloring on the letters looks great!
how clever you are in making your clover - i think St. Pat's day cards are difficult to make and this is wonderful inspiration!!
Great idea to make and use a stencil, Barb. It leaves a soft color on the image and sentiment.
A stencil?? What a great idea, Barb - and I love that our brains were both thinking hearts, when clover/shamrocks were needed! I love your choice of greens...
I'm the lucky one to call you friend!

Clever use of the heart to custom make your design, love it Barb!
Your stenciled shamrock looks fabulous, Barb! Beautiful clean and CAS card. I will try my best to play along this challenge - I have great intentions but then time runs away with me!
Beautiful design Barb. Love our stenciled hearts to create a soft coloured shamrock. And love the ombre technique on your die-cut sentiment. Wonderful mix of design elements. xx
Love the ombre green. So fun!
Such lovely, soft, ombré blending on the shamrock and on the sentiment, Barb ... the silver stars add a fabulous touch of magic to your design! Hugs, Anita :)
This is such a lucky card Barb. CAS perfection!
I love this wonderful monochromatic design, Barb. Love the ombre on the die cut letters, and those little stars are the perfect finish!!

Barb this is my favorite shade of green and I love how you ombre'd the lucky. I agree with Stephanie, the stars are the perfect finishing touch. CAS perfection
