Hi there blog friends! It's time for another Twofer Card Challenge with Darnell and her fabulous DT, and the theme for this month is 'Butterflies'! Here are the parameters of the challenge:
Since I just placed an order from PTI and bought this sweet little butterfly stamp set, I was ready to get crafty ~ Here is my take on the challenge:
For my first card, I used Peerless watercolors and created a monochromatic color palette. I colored behind the 'fussy-cut' vellum butterfly with Copics, used silver EP for the sentiment, and added a few silver sequins for a little sparkle!
My 2nd card is very simple :) I started by stenciling the clouds, then stamped the butterflies and used my Glaze Gel pens to color in the tips of the butterfly wings. More fussy-cutting, a stitched border, a scripty sentiment and a few clear sequins, and that was it!

This is a really beautiful butterfly image, Barb. And you've really shown it off wonderfully with these two cards. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge! xx
Pretty cards Barb, love that sweet butterfly.
Just lovely cards, Barb. What a wonderful butterfly image - haven't seen that one before.
That is a gorgeous butterfly, Barb, and I love how you have showcased her on your pretty cards! Great job of coloring and fussy-cutting! (They need to make her into a die!) Your first butterfly in her pinafore is perfect for the soft edges of your design elements and your threesome on your thank you are dazzling against that flawless sky! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #5! Hugs, Darnell
Two beauties, Barb! Just love the butterflies in the sky of clouds and what a pretty wreath with butterfly! Sweet little flowers too!!
Your cards are beautiful, Barb! I love how different those butterflies look in white and then in black, and also with how differently they are colored. Your wreath is gorgeous - I love the white on white. Your cloud background is a wonderful place for those three butterflies to flutter! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
Absolutely delightful, Barb ! Both of your cards are so delicate with this wonderful butterfly. I love the two different cards you made with it especially the second one. With this cloudy background we even feel the airiness of this fluttering butterfies. Love it so much !
Your delicate wreath is just the perfect spot for that equally delicate, vellum butterfly, Barb ... it's dreamy, pretty and deliciously delightful! Your trio of butterflies fluttering through those fluffy clouds is gorgeous ... love the monochrome with the tiny spots of colour on the wing tips ... wonderful! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
Beautiful cards, Barb! Love the touch of color on the butterflies on the thank you card!
hi Barb. your box arrived today along with your beautiful card from this post. I appreciate your thoughtfulness. thanks so much for sharing.
I think this is the same butterfly that made me buy the frantage. Too bad it doesn't come with a die but you've fussy cut them well and placed them on gorgeous backgrounds.
Two beautiful cards, the butterflies look so different. xx
