A few more CAS Challenges

Hello again, blog friends ~
I'm back to share a quick post for 2 of my favorite challenges. First up is the CAS Christmas June Challenge, and the theme is Masculine

I love, love, love this Stag Stencil and I think it's perfect for a masculine Christmas card. I inked the stencil with Delicata Gold and added a thin gold foil border before mounting it on a black card base.
If you are interested, you can buy this and other stencils at Sarah Gray's Folksy Store.

Next is a card I created for the CAS Watercolor June Challenge for the theme 'Ocean':

I started by creating a wash with Peerless Watercolors in a few shades of blue and aqua. After stamping the fish and seaweed, I colored the mermaid with Copic markers and added a few bubbles with PTI Rainstones. And that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Barb, that's such an awesome stags head, so perfect for a masculine card. Now I've tagged that store and might have to order some stencils in the fall when I'm in the UK.

Two fabulous cards, Barb - just love your stenciled stag - so pretty in the gold! I just made a card using a stag diecut but the stencil looks amazing! And what a darling mermaid card - just love how you framed the image!

The stenciled stag is so gorgeous and it's CAS masculine perfection, Barb! I love that you added the thin gold foil border. It's very thin but the effect has a big impact. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome card with us at CAS Christmas!
And the second card is totally different with the adorable mermaid under the sea. Love the way you watercolored and the Copic shading is so pretty! Hideko xx

Have to agree with you on the stags head, love it. Used it a few times last year and will again this year. Looks so regal in gold, perfect. Then that sweet little mermaid looks wonderful in her little section of ocean.
