July Twofer Challenge!

Hi there blog friends! It's time for Darnell's July Twofer Challenge and I'm loving the theme ~ Beverage! Even though my NBUS pile is overflowing, it was the perfect excuse to buy this MFT stamp and die set that I've been eyeing for a while :)

OK, so the rules are that we create 2 different cards for 2 different occasions, using the same stamps and/or dies. The stamp and die set that I chose is MFT's Soda Pop & Bottles. Here is my first card:

I started this card by applying embossing paste to a concentric circle stencil and used the sketch from the most recent Fusion Challenge for my design. It may be hard to see on screen, so the coke bottle and top banner are chocolate brown.
My sister is a diet coke addict, so this is going off to her attached to a Yankee Candle, just to say hello :)

For my 2nd card, I decided to go with a birthday theme...we can't ever have too many of them, right?

For this card, I inked the bottles with MFT inks in summery colors, stamped the icons and added a vertical border with diagonal striped paper and silver luxe cardstock. A few clear sequins and this card was completed :)
Here are both cards together (for Darnell's gallery):

I always enjoy playing along with Darnell's challenge and we have until the 24th if you're interested in creating a few cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Totally fun take on the inspiration word Barb! Love that subtle background you created with the 'bubbles' coming out of the bottle!

As usual, now it's ME who wants to buy that fab Coke bottle! You always do this to me, Barb, lol! I love both your festive designs! That texture paste circle and the bubbles really add a ton of interest to the classic bottle of cheer for your sis! And I love it turned into fun summery bottles of delishus drinks in pretty fruity colors! Great border treatment, too! Thank you so much for your support and for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, you are just too clever, Barb! I have these dies and never thought to use them. You have taken them and created two different and equally wonderful cards! Good job!

What a refreshing twofer, Barb! That coke bottle is brilliant ... love the background texture and those fun bubbles rising from the top! Those soda's in sorbet colours are so celebratory for a birthday ... the contrast of the black and white diagonal striped strip is delicious ... and that touch of silver adds a fabulous celebratory touch! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

I'm with Michele here, a Coke Classic girl, but I have given up my love and switched to soda water trying to get healthy--lol! Both of your cards are so fun with the soda bottles!

That classic card is spot on, Barb, and the bottles of colored pop are fun too. I'm way behind in commenting but I'm going through all your post forward from this one. I may not comment on them all but I will have seen them all when I get done. I've whittled my inbox down from over 500 to 130. Hopefully I can keep up once I'm done.
