August Twofer Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! This is my 2nd post today. For the CAS Christmas Card Challenge go Here.

It's time for another Twofer Challenge and I'm so glad that Darnell has chosen Geometric for her theme. If you haven't played along yet, here are the rules for the challenge:

I thought it would be fun to use the large Wonky Stitched Peek-a-Boo die for my geometric shape:

For my 'Birthday' card, I used stencils to create soft clouds and sun rays for the sky and 3 different sets for the scene. I colored the images and branches with Copic markers, then popped everything up on a stone gray card base.

For my 'Feel Better' card, I decided to create a shaker ~

I started by ink blending the background with distress inks and used an NBUS set by MFT called Gill Friends for the fishes and sentiment.

A pic of both cards together for Darnell's Challenge Blog:

There is still another week to play along if you're interested...I'm sure Darnell would love to see your take on 'Geometrics' ~
Thanks so much for stopping by,

You are the queen of adorable cards, Barb! Well done showing us how to create two different designs even when using a large die! Your wonky rectangle looks amazing as both a shaker aquarium and what appears to me to be a peek into heaven with those darling birds and butterfly at the entrance! It's the sun shafts coming in from the side and the light and beautiful coloring that does it. Amazing! By the way, I am in love with that fat little puffer fish in the bottom right of your aquarium. Is he really fat or is he seeing how long he can hold his breath without busting open, lol! This card will definitely turn someone's frown upside down!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #8! Hugs, Darnell

What a fabulous shape to choose for your geometric cards, Barb ... they're adorable! The sky background for those sweet birds on branches is fantastic ... I can almost feel the heat of those sun rays warming my shoulders! Your tropical shaker is brilliant ... gorgeous turquoise blue ocean, cute little fish, all those little shaker bubbles ... and that fun sentiment ... just delicious! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Oh my goodness, Barb, these are fantastic! I may be wrong but is this a trapezoid? Whatever it is, it makes a beautiful frame for your delightful fish and birds!

Using that large wonky window allowed you to make such darling scenes, Barb. The rays were a great touch with the birds and the sequins make a beautiful ocean bottom.
