Darnell's Twofer Challenge

I'm running way behind this month but no matter what, I had to play along with one of my all-time favorite challenges ~ Darnell's Twofer Challenge! I'm not clever enough to create a non-conventional card, but I did have fun with my Lil' Inkers balloon die :)

For my first card, I used my newest MFT stamp set 'Sweet Friends' and colored her with Copic markers. I added the cloud die cut and softly stenciled clouds behind the little girl. Lastly, I stamped the little blades of grass and sentiment...and that was it!
Now, we can't forget the rules of the challenge...

I used the same Lil' Inkers balloon die and created this card:

With silver EP, I stamped "Make a" and used patterned paper for the die cut alphas. I love this cute little birthday bird, and couldn't resist adding him to the design. I added a stitched border, and this card was done and dusted :)
Here is the photo for Darnell's Challenge Blog

Be sure to check out all the great cards by Darnell's Design Team and play along if you can...the challenge closes on the 24th!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

What a sweet and wonderfully detailed scene, Barb ... seems the balloon is helping that little girl to swing back and forth in the breeze! Love how you used the balloon as a letter in your die cut wish ... so clever ... and that happy dancing bird is such a fun, cute touch! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Your designs may not be unconventional, Barb, but they are definitely stellar and very creative! Your sweet friend card is like a warm hug on a spring day and your use of the birthday balloon for the dot in the letter i is brilliant! (I'm sure I won't be the only one in Blogland who stops everything and immediately CASEs this totally fun heart-dottie design!) Both are so so cute and, as always, impeccably made!! Thank you so much for playing, no matter what, in Twofer Card Challenge #14! Hugs, Darnell

Two great balloon cards, Barb! Wonderful coloring on the sweet friend! I love how she's swinging! Love the little hearts paper and the cute little bird on the birthday card! You rocked this one!

To heck with unconventional when you've got two cards this pretty and creative! Sweetness in both! I adore the make a wish card with the patterned letters and darling birdie, and so clever to use the balloon for the "i". That's actually somewhat unconventional. Your "wish" makes me wish I had these very same letter dies so I could do the same. Wonderful simplicity in both. You have a good eye for stamps and design! I'm glad you made it in time for our Twofer Challenge, Barb!

Is there a 'perfection' category? Because, Barb, these two are just that: PERFECTION with your darling Lil' balloons, and cast of darling characters! [I'm so envious of that little swinger!]
Bravo, my friend!

How fun to have a helium balloon and a swing on such a cheerful day! Your card reminds me of carefree times! I love your creativity to use that balloon and its string as a replacement for the "i"! Both of your cards are wonderful! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!
