April Twofer Challenge - Zoo Animals

Hi there!
I'm finally finished creating my cards for Darnell's Twofer Challenge. I love playing along, but sometimes life can get in the way...better late than never, right?  I love the prompt for this month and I have a few stamp sets that would work but thought I would ink up this NBUS set from a recent MFT release ~

I started with a generic baby card using this adorable giraffe. I stamped him and the sentiment in gray and used Copic warm grays to color him. I also stenciled the sky and masked off the bottom to create a hill. Lastly, I added those little blades of grass using a stamp from another set...and that was it!

Here are the rules for the Twofer Challenge:

So...here is my 2nd card:

I thought it would be fun to create a card for my granddaughter. I grabbed this NBUS triple frame die, blended DOX inks behind each circle, and used all three giraffes in the set. Playing with my 'grays' again for the diagonal striped paper and sentiment, and this card was done and dusted!

Here is the photo of both cards for Darnell's Challenge Blog:

The Twofer Challenge is open until the 24th if you would like to join in the fun :)

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Way to show us how to whip up a coupla QACAS cards, Barb, and create two completely different designs in the process! These are both so cute! I love that you went unconventional with your baby giraffe coloring in gray. The softness of all your elements are perfect for a new baby card! And your What's Up card is a triple bit of colorful fun! Beautiful blending! I haven't seen that fun die with the whacky border and three apertures. How flexible would that be for many different occasions! And I love how striking your design looks with the gray striped edging. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #15! Happy Easter! Hugs, Darnell

That little giraffe is adorable set in her soft, dreamy scene, Barb ... isn't she sweet in those warm greys! The blending behind the friendly triplets is just gorgeous ... so vibrant against all that yummy, crisp white ... and such a fabulous contrast to the cool grey stripes! Your grand-daughter will love it! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

These are real standouts in the gallery, Barb. That MFT giraffe looks so cute, and I love that you've done him in shades of gray. The background you've created is just perfect for him, down to those little clumps of grass. I'm guessing that your granddaughter is going to love this card - those peek-a-boo giraffes are sweet and the blends behind them really make them shine. And stripes are always fabulous in my book! Great cards!! Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev

I so admire you for being able to make two different cards with the same set at the same time! I struggle with that - my imagination can only deal with one card at a time :) . Adorable giraffes and the one with the heads poking through the die is beatifully bright and colorful. The other one is a perfect baby card.
