Fusion Challenge

Hi there blog friends ~ It's time for a new challenge at Fusion and this time our prompt is Ombre.

I needed a card for my sweet little granddaughter Desi, so I decided to go with the sketch ~

I used one of the MFT Pure Innocence stamps and colored her with Copic markers. To add texture to the image, I soaked a piece of an old washcloth with Copic Colorless Blender and dabbed it on her jean shorts, then popped her up on the scallop oval frame. For the striped panel, I applied 1/8" Scor-Tape and gold Deco Foil.

Don't forget the best thing about the Fusion Card Challenge is that you can choose between the sketch and the inspiration photo, or both! My teamies have created some amazing cards to inspire you, so feel free to stop by the challenge blog and play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Sweet Summertime, Sweet Celebrations (sentiment)
Dies: MFT - Sweet Summertime, Stitched Oval Scallop Edge
Misc: Copic Markers; Scor-Tape; Gold Deco Foil; Ranger - Super Fine Gold Embossing Powder

Choices are what I love about the Fusion Challenge, Barb... you've made all the right ones with this sweet card - Desi will think it's one in a melon, too! I love the texture treatment with the blending solution, and your darling foiled stripes!
Fabulous, my friend!

What a sweet card, Barb! Love how you've colored this little one and her faded jean shorts! That watermelon looks delicious! Love how you've added the foil too! I got your package today. I've set it aside to open next week. Can't wait! Gives me something to look forward to beside being in another decade!

She is such a cutie patootie Barb! I do love watermelon but would you believe that it's pretty much the only thing that my husband won't eat... I don't get how someone can't like watermelon!
