November Twofer Challenge - With a Twist!

Hi there blog friends ~
As you probably know, Darnell's Twofer Challenge is one of my all-time faves, and this month we get to play with our holiday greenery! Here are the rules:

For the month of November, Darnell has included a twist ~ she is suspending one of the rules and we are allowed to create two cards for the same occasion ~ Woo-Hoo!!! I am really far behind on my Christmas cards, so I'm thrilled! I kept both of my designs very CAS and plan to create several more of each for my stash :)

The common element in my cards is the greenery in this wreath. For my first card, I watercolored the sprigs with DI's and splattered with gold and white metallic pigment ink from Gansai Tambi. The die-cut sentiment is from last years' release and the red gems are from my stash. The simple white card base is embossed with SU Subtle Dynamic Textured Impression Folder. I die-cut the wreath twice and layered it a little offset, but I think it looks wonky...when I duplicate this card, I'll have to sort that out :)

Another CAS design...I created the background with Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers DOX then splattered with Winsor & Newton white paint and spritzed with clear shimmer spray. The sprig was cut from the wreath with white glitter cardstock and I used silver foil cardstock for the sentiment and border.

And, here they are together ~

Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate your visits and your sweet comments ~ I read every one of them :)

I'm not seeing anything wonky about your wreath - and both cards are fabulous, Barb! Their wishes for Joy, and Peace are my favorites of the Season!
It's a wonderful plan, and place, to play - we ALL have Christmas cards to make - a Twofer makes that speedier! xx

Totally STUNNING cards!! I love the background you created on your dove card. So perfect that you had the dove with the greenery in its beak. The treatment that you used on your wreath is fabulous!! Totally beautiful design for both!!

This is such a pretty wreath in the soft green, Barb! One sprig of the wreath is perfect for your sweet dove and the beautiful blended background!

Both of these make great cards to mass produce Barb. That bird background is beautiful and your splatters came out perfectly! There is nothing wonky about your wreath, I actually didn't know that you layered them at first. These are wonderful Twofers where I am guesting this month.

How daring of Darnell lol. Lovely result for us though, these are both beautiful and I was delighted to see the dove with the 'greenery' I would never have thought of that, brilliant!

Two gorgeous Christmas cards using your holiday greenery, Barb! Love the soft green with the bright gold JOY in your wreath. What a great way to use that leaf sprig! And your peace card is gorgeous with the colours you've used for your background. The white die-cuts pop! xx

Such a wonderful example of using greenery in two different ways! I love your wreath and the joy within! That dove looks beautiful and bright on the DOX background! That silver "peace" is striking!

Two stunning CASlicious and different Christmas cards, Barb! I quite like the way you offset the sprigs on your beautiful watercolored wreath. It makes the wreath look very breezy, almost tropical, especially with the sunny gold sediment. I would send that to all my friends knee-deep in snow cuz it will make them feel warm all over! And your dove is the picture of serenity, perfect for Christmas with the scplarkly sprig in her mouth! The background is gorgeous and the silver mat and Peace sediment are perfect! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #22! Hugs, Darnell

Great twofer, Barb! Yummy layered wreath - not a bit wonky to me - and I love the peace dove with the sprig in his mouth!!

What gorgeous CAS Christmas designs, Barb ... a terrific twofer! The wreath looks subtly lush and rich layered up (not seeing wonky here!) ... and the watercolouring on it with the delicate splatters is just lovely! Beautiful blending and splattering on the background for that wonderful dove of peace ... brilliant idea to use a piece of the wreath for his shimmery olive branch! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
