August CAS Christmas Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the August challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Susan and she has chosen ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ for our prompt...also, our fabulous Guest Designer is  Meg from Bits and Pieces.

I found this really old stamp set in my stash and did a google search for turtle doves...They're mostly grayish/white, but they fan out their tails much like a peacock...so colorful! No need to add color to this pair since their tails are closed. Anyway, I kept the design very simple with an oval stencil and a few branches, then I stamped the sentiment with dark gray ink.

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...the challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us. It's a great way to get started on your Christmas cards!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Christmas Friends; Ellen Hutson - Christmas Scribbles by Julie (branches)
Dies: MFT - Elegant Rectangle STAX
Stencils: MFT - Oval Extraordinaire
Misc: Pretty Pink Posh - Clear Sequins; Altenew Inks - Evening Gray, Lava Rock; Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Salty Ocean

Such lovely turtle doves on your pine branches Barb! The sponged blue oval frames them nicely! I never thought about what a turtle dove looks like so I guess I'll have to go check it out! xx
