CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the August challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is the amazing Trina and she has chosen ‘Pine’ for our prompt. We have 2 Guest Designers this month ~ Elizabeth from Paper Sweetness and Lucie from Lucie G Cards.

I started by embossing a panel with Richard Garay's Pine Needles EF, then adding my NBUS sentiment from The Greetery. Lastly, I mounted the panel on a red card base and added a few red gems...quick and CAS! Here is a close-up of the embossed panel ~

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designers. The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us. It's a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: The Greetery - Opposites Attract
Dies: The Greetery - Opposites Attract
Misc: Richard Garay - Pine Needles Embossing Folder; Red Gems - Stash

Beautiful card Barb using the tradtional red, green and white. The pine embossed background is a wonderful backdrop for your sweet noel sentiment with holly. xx

What a fresh idea to use the prompt (pine) in the background, Barb! The embossed pine boughs are subtle but add so much interest to the open white space. The holly with shiny red berries is so cute!

How clever of you Barb to dry emboss your pine cones to add texture to your background while leaving all the beautiful White Space and then just adding a die cut sentiment and holly and berries. Perfectly CAS my friend. TFS

You used one of my favorite embossing folders Barb, and how perfectly it worked for this PINE challenge...lovely, lovely card!!

Have you had any luck finding the baby formula for your granddaughter? My daughter and I are still keeping our eye out, but the shelves are still mostly bare here. Sure hope someone has been able to help!!
