Muse Challenge #137 & Tag You're It Challenge #32

Hello there ~
Just stopping in to share a card and tag for two of my favorite challenges...Muse and Tag You're It!

First up, my incredibly talented and fun blog friend, Michele Ferguson created this fabulous card for this week's challenge at Muse:

Here is my take on Michele's card:

I love the repeat elements on Michele's patterned paper, but since I don't have anything like that, I created my own using PTI's 'Uncorked' stamp set. For the bottom panel, I swiped the same ink pad on to a piece of white cardstock, but it dried much darker...I do like the contrast, so I used it, then I die cut the sentiment and wine bottle from the same set. Lastly, I added some of PTI 'Rainstones' for some sparkle, and a thin strip of silver cardstock...and that was it!

I used Hero Arts Passion Flower ink for the wine glasses and solid panel along the bottom... Please note:
About a year ago, a few of us noticed that this ink pad had a pink hue, as opposed to purple. Hero Arts replaced them with the correct ink pads, but I used the original color on this card.

For the current Tag You’re It Challenge, Kelly Szafron created this really cute Christmas card and tag:

Don't you just love that Santa Claus stamp? For this challenge, I created a double tag for a Christmas gift:

In an effort to stay on budget (have you seen the latest ME release?), I pulled out my favorite Mama Elephant penguins from last year, and had some fun coloring. The holly is from PTI, and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

So, that's it for me...I hope you are all having a great weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by,

Oh Barb!! Your Muse card is stunning! And fun, too!! Love that you've created your own background. Cool sentiment too. And speaking of cool....those little penguins on your tag are adorable. I'm failing miserably at not shopping, but after ordering two sets of MFT dies, I have to be done for a good while. Anyway, just wanted to pop by and tell you that your card is fantastic, and your tag is sweet. Bev

I'm with you on the 'staying on budget' front, trying so hard here... lol. Love your double tag, would love to CASE it for my Chrissy presents this year (if that's okay) and your repeated wine glass background makes a great take on Michele's card!

Busy, busy, busy!! Love your Muse card, that colour is really pretty and you did so well lining up your glasses. I love that little Santa, he looks cute with that large head. And those penguins are still looking fantastic and love the tag shape. I saw the new ME release, if I won the Lottery I would buy the lot for you AND me!!

I just adore the patterned paper you made for your MUSE card. It has such a muted and subdued look, especially compared to the solid. And, your tag--too cute for words. And, no, I have been avoiding the ME blog at all costs. Eyes closed for safety. Thanks so much for playing along at Tag You're It.

Cheers *clink of glasses* to your fabulous take on Michele's card! In awe at how straight you stamped those glasses; my efforts would be all tipsy and wonky, as though I'd stamped whilst drinking! And your penguins...awwwww! Feeling merry in seeing them! Budget? Yes, me too...trying (at least until Black Friday and after Christmas; fingers crossed some good sales will come our way).
