Hi there, blog friends ~
When I saw Tracey's beautiful watercoloring and adorable penguin for Muse this week, I had to play along!
I ruined 4 pieces of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock trying to re-create Tracey's gorgeous background, and finally gave up ~
Even though my watercoloring attempts failed, I still wanted to create a snowy hill for my bear...So, I masked off the bottom on an angle and ink blended with distress ink. I found a small stamp in the MFT Distress Patterns set and used it to emboss the snow kicking up behind the bear :) Lastly, I added Glossy Accents to the goggles...and that was it!
I focused on Tracey's:
- Snowy Hill/Outdoor Scene
- Embossed Sentiment Strip
Happy 'Hump Day', everybody! I hope you are all having a fun and crafty week ~
Thanks so much for stopping by,Ingredients:
Stamps: MFT - Cooler with You, Distressed Patterns
Dies: MFT - Cooler with You, Slanted Sentiment Strips
Ink: Versamark, Salty Ocean DI
Misc: Copic Markers; Stampendous Detail White EP; White Gel Pen; Glossy Accents

Barb, so cute and I love the way you added the snow being licked out from the back of the sled--well done! Thank you so much for sharing this cutie with us at Muse this week!
What a cool bear! Love your creative touch with that snow behind the sled! I think watercolor wash is one of those things that look so easy but are very hard to do!
You did the best CASE of Tracey's card, Barb! OMG, I just love this between the glossy goggles and the touch of kicked-up snow! Genius!! Now I have to go buy that bear, darn you, lol!! Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell
your little bear and your coloring is every bit as cute as Tracy's penguin and the glossy goggles and embossed snow behind the sled are the greatest accents - darling card!!
OMG those goggles! and this Michigan girl knows that the steeper, and smoother, the hill? the more exhilarating the ride!!! This guy seems to be seeing a bit of an uh-oh landing!!!
Just fantastic, Barb! perfectly blended, and LOve the kicked up snow!
=]
Your bear, whizzing down the snowy hill is absolutely adorable! The polka dot scarf is charming and the glossy goggles...oh my! LOVE this!
Hugs~c
I know right, watercolouring is not my strong point, I'm trying to 'let go' and stop controlling it, so far the results are mixed lol. Love your sweet bear, gotta say that he looks happy even though he's not on a watercolour background haha.
What a brilliantly detailed cutie, Barb ... he's having such fun on that slope ... just look at the speed he's going ... wheeeeee! Hugs, Anita :)
Great take on Tracey's Muse card, Barb. That little goggled bear is adorable :)
Darling take on the Muse card Barb. Your sledder looks like he's having fun...and those glossy goggles--Fabulous.
Such a cute card.
Love your details of the snow kicking up behind the sled, and the glint of sun on those gloggles.

This card made me SMILE!! I LOVE the fun goggles on that bear and the fun polka dot scarf. Such a darling card!!
Oh dear. Sometimes cards just do NOT want to be made, do they? Tracey and I were just talking this morning about how great (and yet sometimes frustrating) these smooshy backgrounds can be - so little control! Love your solution and your sweet polar bear! Thanks for joining us at Muse this week, Barb!
Omg what a cool bear with those glossy goggles. Love your touch of snow at the back of sled Barb 💕❤️
Take another look at those watercolor attempts, Barb. Though not like Tracey's they may still be worthy of a card. What you ended up doing worked well and your downhill sledder is as cute as can be with his goggles and red scarf.
You know, I told myself I didn't need this stamp set, but you keep making gorgeous cards with it and I find myself weakening! This is such a great take on the Muse card.
So cute. I love the colors!
This is super cute! :)
This is adorable Barb! I love your design ... especially that snow kicking up behind the sled --- very creative. The bear is so sweet - love those googles! xx
