CAS Christmas Challenge - Reminder

Hi everyone,
Today is the reminder for the August CAS Christmas Challenge...there's still one more week to play along! For this post, I used one of my favorite Christmas trees ~

I started by embossing the tree in white, then used distress inks in 2 shades of green and gold foil for the star. I also blended Tumbled Glass ink, popped the tree up with foam tape and mounted it to the cross-stitch oval mat. I added a few sparkly sequins and embossed the sentiment in gold...and that was it :)

December will be here before we know it, and we would love to have you join us by submitting a card to the gallery!  A big thank you to Loll and Bonnie for having me along as their Guest Designer for August...it has been such an honor!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: Ellen Hutson - Christmas Scribbles (tree); MFT - Cheerful Christmas Greetings
Dies: Ellen Hutson - Christmas Scribbles (tree); MFT - Cross-Stitch Oval STAX
Inks: TH - Tumbled Glass; Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover; Pretty Pink Posh - Sparkly Clear Sequins; WOW - Super Fine Gold EP

What an amazing scribble tree that is! I don't remember seeing it before and I love it! You made it the star with your coloring and cross-stitch oval frame, Barb, and I love your choice of sediment to gold-emboss, too! Congratulations on being the GD!! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell

I love the soft and pretty look of the card, Barb! The ink blending is so beautiful and the sponging of the background is smooth. The gold star, heat-embossed sentiment, and the sequins are the perfect sparkling touch! Thanks again for being our Guest Designer this month. You've done a fantastic job! Hideko xx
