Twofer Card Challenge #13

Hi there blog friends! I am truly honored to share the cards I created as Guest Designer for the February Twofer Card Challenge ~ I was so excited when Darnell shared the February prompt with me, as I have a new stamp set with lots of fabulous stars...

Here is my first card:

I started by inking the background with distress inks and added a few extra stars and splatters. I then stamped the swirly star's image and sentiment and spritzed the entire panel with Shimmer Spray.

And, here is my Twofer:

For this card, I wanted my gold fairy to 'reach for the stars'...I added the gold embossed sentiment and placed everything on the stenciled cloud background.

I know Darnell would be thrilled if you played along and if you do, remember the special rules for the challenge:

Here is the photo I am posting to Darnell's Challenge Blog:

My dear friend Cat Craig is Co-Guesting with me, and as always, she has created two fabulous cards for the challenge! We hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

These are both so wonderful Barb, although I do have a fave (is that a bad thing?) it's that cute little starry astronaut, how wonderful!

Thank you so much for being our Guest Designer, Barb! Your Twofers are both magical! That little astronaut has found the coolest universe to explore, so colorful and fun! And your gold sediment and gold fairy reaching for the gold stars in a beautiful fluffy cloud sky is so uplifting! You know she's going to take those stars and bestow them on some worthy human! Hugs, Darnell

Those are some very pretty stars, Barb! You aced this challenge with your new stamp set. Really love the pretty background for your space card, all shimmery, and, gee, you had the perfect paper for your photo backdrop, too. And then the stars are equally perfect as beautiful fairy dust. What a gorgeous card!

What a wonderful twofer, Barb! That little astronaut floating around in the awesome galaxy is perfectly complemented by the constellation of stars that seem to be helping him on his way ... so cute! What an elegant encouragement card ... all that delicious gold, the soft sponged background and those delicate vellum wings make this design positively magical ... love how your fairy is the originator of that cascade of stars! Thanks so much for being our Guest Designer at Twofer ... and such a fabulous inspiration to our players! Hugs, Anita :)

These are a delight, Barb. Thank you so very much for guest designing at the Twofer Challenge this month! Your cards are fabulous. I do love that astronaut card and the galaxy you've created reminds me of the cake my son made for her birthday last week. And I'm always up for fairies! She's a sweetie all dressed in gold, too. Beautiful cloud background and that die cut panel is perfect for this. So glad you could join us!! Bev
