Hi there ~ I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! When I saw the cue card for this week's challenge at CASology, I had to grab one of my favorite new stencils and play along ~
I started by masking the surfer and surfboard then stenciled the waves with Mermaid Lagoon DI and a coat of shimmer spray for some sparkle. I wanted to keep the card monochromatic, so I sponged the surfer and surfboard with Tumbled Glass DI and added clear embossing powder to the sentiment. And, that was it for this one-layer wonder :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew - Dainty Swiss Dots (sentiment)
Stencil: Funky Fossil Designs - Surfer (Sarah Gray's Folksy Store)
Inks: Tim Holtz - Distress Inks; Versafine - Onyx Black
Misc: Ranger - Super Fine Detail Clear Embossing Powder

Sarah's stencil is perfect for the challenge, Barb, and your inking is perfect for the stencil.

LOVE your one layer wonder Barb! What a fun card! xx
That is a perfect surf / wave card, Barb. Reminds me of summers in CA.
Love this stencil, wonderful OLC and love that blend of colours :)
Love this wave, Barb! Thanks for playing along with us at CASology this week!
While I was posting my meager entry to CASology I saw your spectacular card and, after picking myself up off the floor, had to come and tell you it's...well...spectacular.
Love the wave! So cool. Great to have a masculine card too. Thanks for joining in the fun as CASology this week.
Clean, simple, and awesome! I love that wave and I'm sure the sparkle is lovely. Thanks for joining us again at CASology!
Wow, Barb ... energy, movement, impact ... no wonder this fabulous card received an HM at CASology this week ... it's brilliant ... congratulations! Hugs, Anita :)
