Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS! As your Hostess, I am challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘One Layer Card’.
At first glance, you might think this is an inlaid panel, but instead, I embossed the scallop circle, then created a mask before stamping the flowers and adding color with distress inks. I stamped the sentiment, and this card was done and dusted :)
We would love to see your ‘One Layer Card’ in the gallery! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog.
Supplies:
Stamps: Altenew - Happy Heart; Avery Elle - Sentimental Swirls
Dies: MFT - Stitched Circle Scallop Frames
Misc: TH Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade

Barb this is a fantastic way to get texture, color, and depth, to a one-layer card... and so beautifully, too!!

Gorgeous blending, Barb ... the glow is fantastic! What a great technique to create the appearance of dimension ... this is just lovely! Hugs, Anita :)
Barb, this card showcases how a one layer card can still have so much texture and impact. Those flowers set into that stitched circle are gorgeous and I love the pop of black for the sentiment. Gorgeous!
