Reminder - August CAS Christmas Challenge

Hello friends!  Just a reminder that there is still time to link up your card for the August CAS Christmas Card Challenge. Susan is hosting this month and she has chosen ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ for our prompt.

Since I only had one stamp set for this prompt and used it for my first card, my sweet friend, Michele stamped these adorable French Hens and popped them in the mail to me...Thanks, Michele! I love that they're sipping a glass of wine...so cute :)  I stenciled grass, which you can't see because their bums are too wide and sun rays to add brightness to the design. I was determined to keep this card simple, so I colored the hens with Copic markers, fussy cut them, and added a fun sentiment...and that was it!

My teamies have created some fabulous cards to inspire everyone ~ Come on over to the Challenge Blog to check them out, and play along with us, if you like! You have until the 24th to submit your card!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: Sugar Pea Designs - Every day is Christmas (3 hens); MFT - Sweet Holiday Penguins (sentiment)
Stencils: Picket Fence Studio - Layers of Grass; MFT - Radiating Rays
Misc: Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Squeezed Lemonade; Copic Markers; Altenew - Obsidian Black Ink

Tee hee ... so much fun, Barb! I can tell these are trois poules francaises ... blue berets, white feathers, red wine ... the colours of the French tricouleur ... so clever! Fabulous card! Hugs, Anita :)

Looks like we were thinking along the same lines with our French hens this time Barb, although I have to admit I'm jealous that yours have some wine to drink and celebrate the holiday with! Cute, CUTE card...LOVE it!! :0)

Barb, crafty friends are the best, aren't they? ;-)
Your French hens are so cute and funny! Good thinking that you used the French Tricolor to add more "French-ness" to the hens. The stenciled grass grounds the hens and the sun rays lead the eye right into the hens. Great effect!

What would we do without Michele, Barb? I have an upcoming card using stamped images she sent me. You did a great job designing your card with those cute French hens.
