Hello crafty friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ Nancy is our Hostess, and she is challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Christmas’.
I like creating Christmas cards with a non-traditional color palette. For this card, I chose pumice stone and shaded lilac distress inks. I started with a loose lilac watercolor for the background and I blended pumice stone ink lightly onto stone gray cardstock before die-cutting the mistletoe. I used DOX ink for the berries and bow to get a pop of color then I brushed everything with a crystal clear marker to add sparkle to the design.
We would love to see how the code word ‘Christmas’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~

Gorgeous card Barb.
your card is just lovely, Barb - really like the rounded opening as the background for the mistletoe - looks like it's hanging in a doorway!
Love this soft look, quite beautiful.
