CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the February challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Christine and she has chosen ‘Winter Scene’ for our prompt. Our Guest Designer is Izzy Scrap.

This is a fun die set that was a freebie from SSS during December. I started this 5x7 card by blending Distress Oxide Inks for the background, then I placed white glitter cardstock behind the stars and spritzed the panel with sheer shimmer spray. I used black metallic cardstock for Santa and his reindeer and added snow with a white marker. Lastly, I used Navy ink for the sentiment, and this card was complete!

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us...It’s a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Addicted to Stamps & More - Christmas

The black silhouette of the Santa's sleigh with reindeer beautifully pops on the gorgeous sky, Barb! I love that you added the glittery trail of stars to the sleigh, and that you created an effective contrast between the sky and the snow hill by arranging only the sentiment in the middle of the white hill.
Hideko xx
p.s. Maybe I could get a ride on one of the reindeer to tour around the east coast! ;-P

This shimmery and schparkly composition is so perfectly balanced, Barb! You are the queen of blending and I just love the color of that sky behind the silhouette Santa and his team of reindeer. I think in real life there is a starry trail behind the sleigh, so I love them! And your sediment is perfect! Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! I hope you are keeping well! Hugs, Darnell
