Hi there, blog friends! Today starts a new challenge at Addicted to CAS ~ I will be Hostess, and I'm challenging everyone to create a card using the Code Word ‘Ombre’.
I created this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day. I started by embossing the white panel to add texture, then ink blended the alpha and used dark blue cardstock for the sentiment and border. Here is a close-up of the embossed panel:
We would love to see how the code word ‘Ombre’ inspires you! If you would like to see inspiration from the Design Team, and play along with us, come on over and check out the ATCAS Blog ~
Thanks so much for stopping by,

I love this idea for a hubby Valentine, Barb! Love the way you've used the ombre to color that big U!

I LOVE this, Barb. What a fantastic valentine!! I love that mega "U". I am feeling a little enabled at the moment... I will see if it passes. Truly a wonderful outside-the-valentine box creation.
SO creative and fun! Bet your hubby loved the card! Great work Barb! xx
This is so clever and such a lovely blue colour a refreshing change from pink and red and probably much more acceptable to most men xx
That giant U really makes a statement, Barb, and is lovely in blue ombre.
Love this huge letter as the focal image ... not to mention the soft ombre effect.
CAS perfection, Barb. I love that oversized and subtly ombre'd U and the texture behind it. Gorgeous.
hugs
