Twofer February Challenge - Fruit

Hello there, blog friends! The Twofer Challenge is one of my all-time favorites, and I'm so happy when I'm able to play along. This month, Darnell has chosen the prompt 'Fruit', so I grabbed my 'Squeeze the Day' stamp set and got busy :)

I started my birthday card by embossing the fruit images on a dark gray panel using silver embossing powder, which I also used for the sentiment on light gray. I added a few clear sequins, and this CAS card was complete!

The rules are that we create 2 different designs for 2 different occasions using the same stamps, stencils and/or dies...so my 2nd card is for a sweet friend ~

I can't remember the last time I used this much patterned paper on a card, so I just had fun with it :) I colored the fruit with Copic markers, then added the scalloped border and a few enamel dots...and that was it!

Here is  a photo of my cards side-by-side ~

You have until the 24th if you would like to play along...the Twofer DT have a lot of beautiful cards posted on the blog to inspire you!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

You've got quite a delightful duo here, Barb. That double-gray, silver embossed birthday card is just wonderful. I don't know which I like more; the brilliant silver of the sentiment and images, or the angle cut you've done. Together they work beautifully! And the yellow gingham enclosing those sweet citrus fruits looks amazing! Love the bits of scallop edging you've chosen as well. Two great cards! So happy you joined us at The Twofer Challenge. Bev

Two fabulous cards Barb! I LOVE the silver embossing on light gray card. It looks AMAZING ... I have to remember to try that! :) Even though the card is of fruit slices, it is beautiful and elegant. Your second card is adorable with the watercoloured fruit and gingham. You can never use too much gingham ... it is one of those patterns that just makes you feel good. Your slices are beautifully shades to give them lots of deep and dimension. Great work my friend! xx

Your hello card is fresh and spring-like ... the scalloped borders are fabulous with the yellow gingham ... and you've made the fruits positively mouthwatering! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Two such different vibes Barb. The elegance of the silver embossing adds a posh quality to the fruit. The sunny yellow gingham makes your second card fun and ready for summer. Thanks for playing along with your two different designs at Twofer Card Challenge #24.

Doesn't it feel great to use that much pp on a card, Barb?! That pretty yellow gingham sure does look great with the ricrac border on your beautifully colored fruit panel! And I think your silver, gray, and clear bling birthday card is simply elegant! Two more CASlicious card designs from you!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #24! Hugs, Darnell
