Twofer Card Challenge #27

Hi there blog friends ~  Darnell's Twofer Challenge #27 is up and running, and for the month of May, the prompt is 'Flowers'.

The rules for this challenge are to create two different designs for two different occasions using the same stamps, stencils, and/or dies...so, I grabbed one of my favorite stamp sets and got busy ~

For my first card, I started by blending DOX inks to create the background, then I used my MISTI to stamp the black silhouette flowers. A simple 'thank you' sentiment and this card was done!

For my second card, I wanted something with a spring/summer color palette...

For this card, I used my favorite color combo for the flowers and leaves and a very soft gray cardstock for the vase. I created a stencil with a shadow die and scored the card base every 1/2 inch, added my sentiment and that was it.
Here is the photo of both cards for the challenge blog ~

You have until the 24th if you would like to play along with the May Twofer Challenge...it's a great way to add to your stash!

I hope everyone is staying healthy! Sending cyber hugs to all ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Flower Silhouette card kit, Happy Hummingbirds; Altenew - Sentiment Strips

I just love the look of floral silhouettes, Barb... especially when the background is as pretty as your blended one! Stamping and die cutting your 'favorites' filled this sweet little vase perfectly, too!

These are both gorgeous, and it is really hard to get my head around how you were able to get such different looks from the same stamps. I guess that it the point of the challenge. Anyway, stunning creations, and I'd love it if you linked up the 2nd card at CASology this week!!

Your ink blending behind the silhouettes is so soft and pretty, Barb. I have this set and haven't thought to color the flowers like you did. They look fantastic in the vase.

Your twofer really shows the versatility of that stamp set - wow! I love your soft blended sky behind the silhouette of flowers in the field. Then you picked those flowers and arranged them so beautifully in a vase to show off their vibrant colors! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

Sigh ... Barb, these are both so lovely! The silhouettes are gorgeous against the dreamy, almost-glowing, blended background ... and how beautiful is your flower arrangement in that simple white vase ... delicious, especially with the subtle scoring in the background! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)
