CAS Christmas Card Challenge

Hi there, blog friends! It’s time for the January challenge at CAS Christmas. Our Hostess is Julia and she has chosen ‘Silhouette’ for our prompt. Our Guest Designer is Pat from Colorful Card Creations.

This card took just a few minutes to create...I created the ground using an oval die to make a stencil. Then, I stamped the images and sentiment from WPlua9 and stacked the frame dies in black and white for contrast...and that was it! This is a great card to duplicate for the holidays ~ Quick and easy, CAS design :)

We hope you’ll stop by the Challenge Blog and check out all the beautiful Christmas cards by our DT and Guest Designer...The challenge ends on the 24th, so you have plenty of time to play along with us...It’s a great way to add some beautiful cards to your Christmas card stash! I hope to see you there ~

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Supplies:
Stamps: WPlus9 - Iconic Christmas
Dies: MFT - Elegant Rectangle STAX; MFT - Oval Shadow die (discontinued)
Misc: Versafine - Onyx Black ink; Tim Holtz - Tumbled Glass Distress ink

A beautiful and elegant card Barb and love the oval stencil you made inked in blue to ground that sweet couple and a lovely font for the sentiment too. x

What a wonderful grounding you made for your carolers with your light green oval - I didn't notice it at first - but they would have seemed to be floating without it - love that you used green and not a light gray. Your silhouette carolers singing by the lamp post are lovely. The fonts on your sentiment are so pretty too! xx

Lovely old-fashioned image (and even "glad tidings" as a sentiment seems old-fashioned so it's very fitting). Perfect bit of colour to ground the image and great shape of die cut to give extra interest.

Your caroling couple makes a FABULOUS silhouette card Barb and I love how absolutely CAS you kept it with just a touch of color for the oval and the beautiful black and white die cut mats. Lovely, lovely card!! Hugs. 😊

Barb...so glad we used different images, not hard to do, as there are quite a few fun ones to choose from. I love your image of the couple under the street light singing to passers by!

Beautiful card Barb. I LOVE the wonderful silhouette of the couple caroling under the street lamp. The oval stencil was a great idea to ground them and then frame with the pretty shape. xx

I've set myself a lofty goal for Christmas 2021 - I think I better play along! But I'll be hard-pressed to find a silhouette in my stash - especially one as pretty as this, Barb! REally lovely!

Looks like we were thinking along the same line with your sweet couple caroling. I like how you outlined it with the black to make your scene pop. Hope you are having a great week.

A beautiful image of carolers and I love the framing. The soft oval grounding is a wonderful idea. Even the sentiment looks like an old fashioned font.
